@Dr. Noise Does the #13 blue need to be a little lighter in shade?

(I know it changes in each photo due to natural lighting)
I had a hard time deciding just because of how much fluctuation there is in each photo. I believe it's lighter than most photos, but darker than the one photo from the rear. That shot is in direct sunlight and it's hard to say how the white balance on the camera taking the shot treated the color. So, I went with the lighter side of the range from all the photos, but not too light.

I know the feeling on trying to figure out colors like that. The #14 Conseco car was a major thorn in my behind, as so many different photos showed completely different shades of green.

To go along with the car set, @Lastlap has created us a brand new high resolution Winston Cup Series pace car. I am quite liking it. Great job to Lastlap, who has been contributing a number of things here and there that have been improving the quality and accuracy of the carset as a whole. Image is clickable to view larger.

It's...it's just hideous. Colors are not finalized. @Lastlap is also working on some metallic layers to bring some life to the silver and purple. Be that as it may... it's just hideous. Going to have to wing the numbers a bit. It's a pretty generic font, though, so it shouldn't be any big deal to get something comparable. But, also the side numbers are different from the tail number because of course they are. I don't think I mentioned it, but it's hideous.

Not sure if you need reference photos for the 85 Skinner car, but I found this on facebook:

This is fantastic! And that decal sheet is essentially the same. You've solved another problem. I no longer have to wing these numbers. This is very much appreciated! This photo appears to be from the pits at Pocono. They did qualify in that weekend for that race. For whatever reason, though, they ended up DNSing it. It also confirms my guess on the A pillar was correct. *fist pump*

The hideous beast is complete! Thanks to what ended up being a group effort, the 13 & 85 are pretty dang accurate. Now that this car is done, we'll move back to going in numbered order. The metallic layers did a good job bringing this to life. Thanks @Lastlap for the hook-up on that. Onto A.J. Foyt!

Did you make sure the 'inner' part of the '8' on the rear didn't have the yellow outline? ;)

I've finished 2 out of 3 of A.J. Foyt's cars. That's right, he had 3. And he ran one race all year. Daytona. 3 cars. From 3 different teams. lol. Also, I forgot there was a 2nd 13 car that showed up for Daytona. It's super simple, so I'll get that done before moving onto Bodine's 15 car.

Anyone have a clue what this could possibly say? This is the back side of AJ Foyt's 500 ride. It was Don Bierschwale's car. AJ used the Eddie Bierschwale entry on 500 day. It looks to me like one of Eddie's sponsors was left on the tail, but I have no idea what it might be. Looks like there's some wording just above the stripe on both sides of the tail, too. I'm a bit less concerned with what that might be.

Was able to get a clearer shot from NASCAR Classics. Appears to be TRAK Auto. Never heard of that one.

Alright, all three A.J. Foyt cars have been completed. All photos can be clicked on to expand in size.

A.J. Foyt qualified in with the car on the left on speed alone. Unfortunately, he then crashed that car in practice. A.J. did not have a back-up car. Thanks to a deal related to Copenhagen/Skoal, he was able to use the back-up car for Rick Mast's #1 car, owned by Richard Jackson/Precision Products Racing. 4 laps into his Twin 125 race he was collected in a crash that started with Alan Kulwicki getting spun just past the exit of turn 4. Foyt then was able to come to an agreement with Don Bierschwale/B&B Racing to drive the Eddie Bierschwale #23 car, which did not qualify for the 500. Three cars. Three teams. One race. This is how things went for A.J. Foyt's final Daytona 500 run. Foyt started the race in 39th, finishing 21st.
