Hut Stricklin complete! Freshly redrawn numbers, Raybestos logos (flags and ALL THREE font variations, ugh damn car), new Meineke decal.

This car had 3 drivers over the year. Jeff Purvis drove it for 4 races as a Chevy. Jimmy Spencer closed the year out with 4 races in a Ford. So, expect to see the Ford version. The other Chevy variant is basically identical.

Oh, and @Lastlap is working on a new pace car skin to release with the set, too!

I will be moving to a new house next weekend. Time will be limited for updates. Here's hoping the move goes smoothly!

Might be able to get the Ford done before tomorrow. Tomorrow the moving process starts and I also have to perform (music/band) tomorrow. Followed by then the moving of all the big items (U-Haul) on Saturday. I am both excited and not at all excited. Moving sucks. Only 2 blocks from where I live now, though, at least!

Alright, had time to finish it up early than I had anticipated. This will likely be the last car for at least a week or so while I get all moved. When I am able to get back to it, the Mike Skinner car is up next. It was driven at the start of the year as #13 (similar to the 1991 version of the Glidden car, but with a blank hood in 1992). Later in the year he drove the same car as #85. If anyone is able to find even ONE photo of that car, I will be both impressed and massively grateful. I'd like to make both versions if possible, but I've found nothing on the 85 car version.

With that said, here is the Jimmy Spencer rendition of the 12 car as driven in the last 4 races of the season (when they switched to Ford). The Jeff Purvis variant will also be available. But, it's a Chevy that looks identical to Hut's version, so it'll just be a name swap.

@Dr. Noise I hope everything arrived safe and unbroken.

(I've lost NASCAR stuff is a previous move)

But I've been watching the '92 Daytona 500... those pitstops were painfully slow. :teary:

I WISH that I still had access to all of my N4/NR2k2/NR2k3 stuff from my Team SBR days. Even if I can't use a lot of the graphics on the High-Res templates (did a lot of raster graphics and not a ton of layers in my early days...). Just having the flats to work off of and take ideas from feels like it could have been priceless. I'm 90% certain I still have the hard disk it's all on - but the servos on the platters seem to be fried and it no longer boots up. Eventually I'll take it to the pros and see if they can clone it for me.

I know that feeling. :closedtongue:

I've got an old PC (now doesn't boot/blue screen) with a lot of stuff I didn't move over to this PC thinking I wouldn't need it.

N2k2 stuff, my GTP stuff (plus RD stuff I helped with). I don't think I have any N4 stuff, wish I still did of my early work. I think I deleted it when N2k2 came out with the templates being different etc

Alright, so here's the next car. I'm not entirely concerned about being accurate, so if we can't find these, it's not the end of the world. But, coming across photos of this car has been radically difficult. It ran very few races and even changed numbers part way through the year in 1992. None the less, this is how it appear at the start of the season while still #13 for a few races. Hood was blank, trunk was blank. On the side are 3 logos I need help with figuring out. The 'Smart' one, I have no idea what is written below it. The Bryant logo I believe says Bryant Industrial or Industries, but have no idea where to find a clear image of that logo. The name is very generic. The last is the J.R. Janke just below the Bryant. The J.R. Janke part is obvious, but not what is below it.

Of the 3 races this car ran and actually qualified in, 1 of them was run as #13, the other 2 were run as #85. Not only that, one of the 2 races it was meant to start as #85 and they did qualify in for...they didn't actually even start the race. So, the only race that would have been broadcasted with this car as number 85 was race number 27 at Rockingham. I have NEVER seen a photo of the car as #85. Hopefully with these videos being posted by NASCAR Classics, Rockingham will be included, because I fear a broadcast is the only way I'm going to even see the shape of the numbers or if the car changed design/presentation in any way.

Anyways...uhhh... Help. lol Thanks <3

This might be a reach out to Mike on Social Media channels??
I am going to send some details over to Dave Moody either this evening or tomorrow and he's going to pass it along to Mike. Hopefully, that'll help out. Moody comes through with some frequency, so here's hoping. I'd still like to locate some long lost photos, though, that's for sure!

85 - Front, silver (blank hood). Purple on the tail, maybe the sides. Hard to say with these stills. Then a yellow break line with black, then another break line, probably yellow, to the silver. Based on the purple being on the nose I think the quarters are also purple. Glidden on the sides, 'Total Fax' on the tail. Man... hopefully we can find some real photos of this thing. It only raced once, so it's not a big deal. But damn it. Now I wanna see it. I have NO idea what that 85 should look like. lol.

IMO... if you want to include this version, paint it how you want it to look with these reference photos.

While it will not be 100% correct, it's at least a car for the set, a moment of NASCAR history recreated.

The Bryant logo I believe says Bryant Industrial or Industries, but have no idea where to find a clear image of that logo.

Throwing this here from out in left field, but I don't think it's Industrial or Industries. I honestly think it's "Durham", and the stuff on either side of it is a design. Then below it is 'Services'. (Bryant-Durham Services) I mean, I could be off, but this is what I'm seeing with the image. The worst that could happen is you could contact them on their website and they say, no, that wasn't us, and that's that.

Found these but not really a lot of up-close shots of this car. The one image is from 1991 but's its larger and shows off a few things better that stayed the same in 92. Might be some help or not.
