I like those rims! They remind me of the rims on a paint scheme from one of the online series I race in.
Heh.... "Chrome" Rims
I still think this is an awesome idea. I love outside the box sets like these!Despite Jacob and Cynon completely blowing it out of the water in the past 24 hours, I'm happy to announce my return to painting the 2003 Season Uteset, having redone Ward to make lines much smoother and more consistent.
EDIT: Just noticed the red bit on the roof, that will be rectified quickly.

Well, I'm intrigued. I live near ABQ so this would be the closest thing to a home track for me. IRL there is a local dirt track about 15 miles from where I live, Aztec Speedway. There are also Montezuma County Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, CO and the real racing complex in ABQ, none are made for NR2003. The closest NR track to me is probably Pikes Peak which has been closed for years. So this is awesome!View attachment 142790
The ABQ Speedbowl renovation is what's holding up the next FARC/ASCC stream. There is more to do still.
This is a scratch built half mile track set in Albuquerque, New Mexico that has been a hell of a lot of fun to hold races on. Notable features include progressive banking that provides a competitive high line, a poor man's SAFER barrier made of armco and tires, a restaurant called the "Left Turn Bar & Grill" that is open to the public on non-racing days, a pit flagger who has chosen to stand on top of one of the port-o-pottys, and pit space for 47 cars.
All of the objects are from either Papyrus or EastWest Racing, except for the giant inflatable cans, mountains, and my feather banners. I have no idea where the first two originated.
Fortunately, (Or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) I happen to have some depressing objects (mainly Halloween themed) which I do not actually want.Gravis City isn't depressing enough.
