Along those lines, you know what I would love to see done some day? A set for the ASA race that was held in South Africa.
In the ultimate case of irony - the actual Winston West event has more photo documentation than the '98 Exhibition race. At least as far as I've been able to find!
Perhaps - I need to work on a few other projects before another odd-ball carset. But won't rule it out.
Already got one gem I couldn't see due to poor quality before - Brandon Gaughen in the #16 had his normal season 'The Orleans' (Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas) sponsor on the deck lid of his car. I literally couldn't even tell there was a logo there previously due to how similar the saturation on the red of the logo and blue of the car are.
Man - this whole NASCAR classics thing is both a blessing and a curse. Its making me go back and redo a ton of Suzuka and Motegi scheme here prior to release!
Anywho - in the meantime. Big thanks to @Petty4345 for locating proof that Kyle Petty did indeed run a Players INC paint scheme during 1998 and that it wasn't just a promo scheme like we had originally thought. This was run at the Primestar 500 in March of 1998. Will be added to my downloads upon final completion.

Looks great, so far but can't believe I forgot all about that scheme. lol Happy to help though and that was definitely a happy accident finding that.

Went through my Kyle Petty cars from the 1999 season and did some color correction. I wanted to get the body closer to the kind-of metallic demin blue color of the real thing. NOW - I think this is all 5 of his schemes from 1999..... anyone else want to drag out another one I may have missed?

What are the chances that some Pontiacs were running the Y2k tailights for the final race of 1999? I keep looking back at some of the screenshot I have from the final race (the one the Toy Story 2 cars ran at) and the more I look at the back of Kyle's car...... the more it looks like the laser blast doesn't appear to go the whole way across because there are TAILIGHTS there and not just blank body color.......

This is what I'm talking about here - there isn't a super clear shot of the rear of Petty's 'BUZZ' car from this race. But, from Stewarts in-car cam....... the team either cut the white laser blast across the rear in a weird way to better show the Hot Wheels logo on the driver side and the #44 on the pass side...... or those are tailight decals.....
That 'does' look like taillights to me as well. Just wish this could have been in 1080p to be able to know for sure.
