Decided to get on NR2003 for the first time since in ages(about June was the last time I drove in the game).
I chose the 2018 Cup mod at one of my favorite tracks, Bristol.
Bristol 2014 to be exact.
Settings:
No Assists
Realistic Weather
Fast Setup
Paint by me.

As DJ Khaled once said "Another One"
This time, Charlotte 2013 SDT Day, one of my favorite NR tracks of all time.
Settings are the same as the last one.

Today I come with not one, but TWO hotlaps.

In anticipation of S&G's new cup mod, I had the idea of running a full 2003 cup schedule when the mod comes out. But first, I need to develop some talent, so I decided to lap

The first one is at Atlanta, built by the fabulous Brian Ring, if you don't have his tracks, you are missing out!
I only ran about 4 laps, since that was all I needed, I could not get faster after the 3rd lap, so I decided to call it done, was pretty happy at the consistency I was pulling.

Next up, I tackle my biggest foe in racing. The dreaded, deadly road courses. Today I started with Watkins Glen, the easier of the 2 circuits. It was frustrating at first, but I eventually got a good rhythm down. The key to a fast lap lies all in the bus stop. Contrary to what I'd expect, you can't just slow down into it and cruise thru, no, to be fast, you gotta agressively downshift and brake at the 400 board, and through the car into the corner with speed, before powering off in second gear. This is where I found most of my time, as well as a solid run thru the esses, and a good exit off the carousel, you can gain or lose a few seconds easily.

The car is from Team SBR, done with assists, except manual shifting. Fast setup in both sessions. Normal settings

Yes, it is fun to get back behind the wheel, here are 4 more hot laps I did this morning!

First up is Dover. Dover at first glance does not seem difficult, but it can, and WILL bite you if your not careful. Fast corners, short straight, almost like a bigger Bristol.
Dover_Papy_Cup.png

Next up is Papy Rockingham. This track will bite ya on the exit of turn 2, slow in/fast out is the key to conquering this speedway, but watch out for tire wear! I could go faster, but I forgot I had the easy setup on :p

Rockingham_Papy_Cup.png

Continuing to familiarize myself with a variety of tracks, I went back to Pocono, the site of a prior hot lap, in which I bested my fastest time. Turn 3 requires you to slow down a lot more than expected, and this track makes use of both 3rd AND 4th gear, so keep your hand on the shifter!

Last but not least, I tackled Brian Ring's Richmond, a tricky short track, that really requires you to hit your marks. Again slow in/fast out.

Realistic weather, all assists bar auto shifting, Fast Setup(Except for Rockingham :p )

Batch #2 of the day, same settings as usual.

First off is at Brian Ring's rendition of Lowes, AKA Charlotte motor speedway. I have not too many tips for this track, just lift and coast an you'll be fine.

Then I took a trip to Talladega, also by Brian Ring(Seriously, you NEED these tracks!) Qualifying setup, just pedal down, and hold a steady wheel, no sudden movements.

Then I took a trip to California, where 3 laps was all I needed. This track is fast, but don't overdrive the corners!

And finally, I decided to run a quick lap at the ol' Riverside International Raceway by Project Wildfire. Highbank can tell you how to drive this track better than I can :p

Continuing my quest to hot lap the entire 2003 schedule, I bring 5 new updates!

Starting off with Daytona BR My homestate track, just like dega, put on the Qualifying setup, pedal down, smooth wheel.
Daytona_BR_Papy_Cup.png

Next up is Homestead Miami PWF Edition, the second hometrack(Technically, having lived in Arizona and Vegas, I have 4 home tracks?)

Homestead_Papy_Cup.png

Next up is Indianapolis, Superspeedway #4/4.
Indy_Papycup.png

Kansas, yet another 1.5 miler.
Kansas_Papy_Cup.png

and Vegas, old style, a 1.5 miler where you have to slow down a fair bit for the flat corners.
Las_Vegas_Papy_Cup.png

I never really run more than 4-5 laps, since I hit my fastest within those times, and then tires fall off, and mistakes come in as I try to chase my lap time.

Finishing up my challenge to hot lap every tack on the 2003 calendar here we go!

First up is Michigan BR, like California, but slightly faster.
Michigan_Papy_Cup.png

Next is Phoenix, which is getting another reconfiguration this year.
Phoenix_Papy_Cup.png

Texas BR, the last of the 1.5 milers.
Texas_BR_Papy_Cup.png

Martinsville, the infamous paperclip, final short track (I did Bristol 03 in the GNS98 mod, so I counted that)
Martinsville_Papy_Cup.png

And last but not least, Infinoma Point, the final road course. I hate turn 7, and it is key to a good esses, which has to be perfect, or else you will be off line until turn 10, killing your lap time.

Regular settings
Challenge DONE!

Getting used to the car, I'm more then likely going to do a two hour race with this as well and a few other tracks, I may be moving away from RF1 for a bit, I'm loving RF2., especially this mod and the BTCC mod!
rFactor 2 Endororacers mod http://www.enduracers.com/homepage.html at Watkins Glen, both ate available threw Steam Workshop.

With only running a few laps I'm down to a 1:51 and change, it wont belong before I'm running 3 seconds faster.
