I ran a hot lap on the Version of Riverside that I am rebuilding. Sloppy but best lap on this quick one lapper was 1.38.303 - Temp 70 - Wind 7

I am raising/lowering and leveling several sections of this track. You can see where it is lowered in the S's and at the exit of T6. I have fixed some of the side areas in the S's to match the lowered sections but about midway the sides still show how much I have lowered and leveled the racing surface. This will be a completely different track when I am finished with it.

The side hills on the back straight will be fixed and lowered a bit too.. They are way too high and the right side starts way to early. That hill shouldn't really start until where the exit of 7A ends,

Where's the Halo? LOL! If that's the Russian mod you have to choose the tires in that add on app and launch the sim from there to change the tires.

I didn't even try with the halo. Maybe next round. I did install the ultras though, then picked them in the garage.. Picked up a second or so (Not sure if it was tires or just learning the track better) but they seem to go away sooner. No clue where you could find 10 seconds, I was on the gas pretty good.

Now, this is just my opinion.. But I think the rFactor F1 mod (I think it's the 2016 mod Tigg posted a link for a while back?) is better than the Assetto Corsa F1 2018 mod.. If I could find a "Circuit Paul Richard" track, with the correct layout, I'd know for sure but just running the mods back to back, the rFactor one "feels" more natural to me.. (For whatever that's worth.. lol) Least comparing how the cars react when I watch an onboard replay of the real thing, vs what I see/feel in the sim.. rFactor just a little better imo..

I don't see any French GP/Paul Richard Circuit tracks at that link Tigg? The one I found was from rFactor central. (French HTTT V1.10 by Loco &Theirry81) It's got 2 layouts, but neither are what they're running in F1 this year..

Like I said, the most recent ones I could find. Keep an eye on those guys tho, they seem to release tracks shortly after the real race or they used to.

This week we're in Austria at the Red Bull Ring.. First up is F1 2016 in rFactor.. I picked the track and choose "testing" and found it to be raining? (fist time Id seen that in a sim) So, I went back and made it a "monsoon"... Picked the "wet" tires, set the basic setup to full "downforce", and put traction control on low.. This will test your patience! lol

From here forward, I will answer to "Lewis".. x'D

Still off from the big boys, but I think Im closer this week than I was last.. Gave the McLaren a ride this time!
Mod car, no aids, hypersoft tires, clear sky/random wind, optimal track conditions, 2DRS zones

Yea, I mapped it to a steering wheel button. (You may be able to see it on the "tv" replay, if I remembered to hit it) I "think" I heard on TV they had another DRS zone after turn 1, but Im not sure.. I just used it on the front stretch and after turn 3 (where you see the signs on the track) Not really sure it makes much difference though? A couple MPH maybe.. Nothing close to the 9-10 seconds Im missing..
