Just finally worked up the nerve to try the Porsche 917-30 @ Riverside in Assetto Corsa....

I have renewed respect for Mark Donohue...he clearly had four balls....

I had serious issues keeping it going straight due to amazing amount of torque in low gears...it turns best at speed, it was a like a rocket down the back straight...no clean laps to display, it'll take some time to learn this demon's ins and outs...

Had a blast...

Hows about some NASCAR Heat hot lapping? I have been on a HEAT craze as of recent.

I think since this isn't supposed to be a competition we should treat this like olds school NASCAR qualifying, but instead of getting 2 to laps to run your fastest lap, you get 10.

Some of us, I've noticed a few who do 30 plus, LOL!

If I like it, the combo I might run 30 laps on the dirt ones or the short tracks, if it's Riverside I just forget what i came in to do and run a race or something...have I mentioned that I like Riverside, I mean REALLY like?

hey @Highbank what about taking the gn70 cars around riverside? Can Richard Petty snag a pole on the demanding circut? Can Dan Gurney keep his impressive run alive? or will we see an upset?

I tried Assetto Corsa.. 2.5 hours later it'll open and let me choose the options, but click "start/race" and it just goes back to the options screens.. Can't even get it to run the "bench test" in the display screen. Even with 640x480 and all graphics turned off. Was gobbling up a bunch of hdd space anyway.. Good riddance AC!!

Sorry to hear that, yes it's a gobbler for sure, Project: CARS is worse for that though...

Wow, just looked at the gaming icons on my desktop and dang it if the "Redline GTP" one didn't have rust forming on it???
I think one of the other ones is "rFactor" but it has too much dust on it to tell for sure?
