Would fans be happy with a switch between Nashville Fairgrounds & Nashville SuperSpeedway each year?
Like F1 has done with the Nurburgring & Hockenheim to host the German GP.
To be honest, I think that they can make two races in the Nashville area work, considering that one is being held at a beloved short track and the other is being run at a unique high-speed concrete tri-oval. Just need to make sure that both race dates are quite a few months apart from each other (see examples below):
Nashville Superspeedway: Have the race either run in May (on one of the two weekends before the
Coca-Cola 600) or in early June to mid June so that there is at least a full four to five month gap between the two tracks holding their race weekends.
The example for NSS below is theoretical for the sake of post (don't take as reality, since NASCAR isn't going to the Fairgrounds in 2022):
May Dates [2022]
- - Sunday, May 15th or Sunday, May 22nd
June Dates [2022]
- - Sunday, June 5th, Sunday, June 12th, or Sunday, June 19th
Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway: Have the race be in the Playoffs (one of the three
Round of 8 races in October). Perhaps SMI will ditch the 500 mile Texas race in October and move it to the Fairgrounds (and have the All-Star race weekend race date at Texas Motor Speedway in June changed back to a regular 500 mile race)?
The example for NFS below is theoretical for the sake of post (don't take as reality, since NASCAR isn't going to the Fairgrounds in 2022):
October Dates [2022]
- - Sunday, October 16th, Sunday, October 23rd, or Sunday, October 30th
