Open up the Camaro II xxxxx.CAR files with notepad and remove the SIM_ABB_ETCC from the classes line like so:

Original: classes="SIM_FULL, SIM_GTC, SIM_ABB_ETCC, SIM_CamoGr2"
Edited: classes="SIM_FULL, SIM_GTC, SIM_CamoGr2"

Must be another file somewhere that determines what class they show up in? I edited the .car files but they still won't show up in a test.. I can see them in "My Garage" but can never drive them. If I click test, they're not in the list.. I can also sell one, then see it in "Car Dealer" and test drive it at like 3 tracks. In the "Garage" they have a blank where the "Class" is supposed to be listed?

I would almost reinstall it and over write the files and check to see if the show up in the class they're supposed to be in. In the coding they're Corvettes.

I've deleted, reinstalled, redownloaded.. Nothing works. Only way I can see anything having to do with a "Chevy Camaro II" is either in Garage or Car Dealer. I read something about them being tied to the Corvette's, but they're in there. They show up fine. Im heart broken.. It couldn't of been a stupid Mustang mod, that I don't care about.. Had to be the childhood memory car..

That is odd, usually when you click the GTC-TC-76 they show up in the car choosing list, just for S&G's run the verify file integrity, right click on the sim name in your Steam go to local files to find that.

I don't have it on Steam.. But the Impala installed fine. I tried the Camaro II, the Pontiac Trans Am and a Datsun 240Z.. All show up fine in "My Garage" or "Car Dealer", but after you purchase them, they're not there in the "Eligible Teams" to run.. And they all have a blank where their "class" should be, when you see them in Dealer/Garage.. Do they make a Gen 2 Camaro for Assetto Corsa? Cause I'll kick GTL to the curb real fast.. lol

No as far as I know. I had the Camaro in my non-Steam install and it worked fine, no sure why it's not working.

I finally figured it out.. It was similar to what BL Modding Group said, but instead of removing the SIM_ABB_ETTC entry, you need to add "SIM_GTC76" Now I wanna be a be programmer when I grow up!

Anyway, the cars show up now.. But the sound is fubar. Chops in and out..

I don't know why the bloody hell the guys over at Altbierbude removed that class. Wonder what else they changed and in what cars. I have the original version and it has the SIM_GTC76 class. Sorry about that mate. I didn't know they swapped the proper class for their ABB_ETTC entry. They were suppose to leave the cars files unchanged and if they did make any changes to any of the original files they were to be included as backups.

Also what Camaro is giving you the sound issues. There are 2 variations and each one uses a different set of engine sounds. All but 2 of the Camaros use the CAMARO_BB_sounds.aud file which looks for the Chevrolet_Camaro_sounds folder. The #7 & #9 Camaro's use the CAMARO_SB_sounds.aud file which looks for the Chevrolet_Monza_sounds folder.

Just ran both Camaro variations from Altbierbude and no sound glitches in either. Check your GTL Audio settings and your soundcard settings. Also make sure that you have the last DirectX9 version (June 2010) from Microsoft installed.

Thanks BLMG!! No worries on the edit! W/O your help I wouldn't have been able to solve it! On the sounds issue, Im thinking it may be my game now..Ive tried it on my PCI sound card and the mb's integrated sound and they both do it, plus even some stock cars (mustang) do it.. It feels like a game/driver software issue of somekind but not sure I can solve it. Probably try getting it off STEAM and see if a fresh install does any good..

You don't have to buy the Steam version, you just have to put in your CD activation key code in, that's what I did.

Personally you can never go wrong with any SimBin title. GTL, GTR2 and Race07 (with all DLC). Especially when places like Humble Bundle (or Steam) has had the SimBin Mega Bundle on super sale for around $10 - $15 U.S. It's currently $40 U.S. but keep an eye out.

Really, bloody kids these days. But with no Demo to try, what's a pir ...er a person to do.

Seriously though, with Steams Play for 2 Hour Policy at least it's something and even with complex games you should at least know if the game is something your going to like or not.

Or just go old school and buy the DVD versions.

It's been on sale a couple times in the last while so you will have to keep checking. Even if you can get the titles individually on sale for a good price. Keep checking Here for their current sales. If your REALLY lucky you might even run across a couple of the titles in their Pay what you Want sale.

Currently GT Legends is $7.99 and GTR2 is $4.99 which is the going price but I've seen GTL down to $2.99 U.S. on both Humble Bundle and Steam.
