Esco Trackside presents:
BURNS DRIVE
A fictional circuit for the Repco Supercars Championship in NR2003

BACKGROUND
Introducing Estollia: a fictional island country around 100km off the coast of north-east New South Wales. It's home to a population of just under 1.5 million, and enjoys a warm tropical climate for most of the year. And most importantly, it's a country with a rich motorsport heritage, packed with fans who love the sport, and an array of iconic race tracks.
Based in the country town of Melicon, Bruns Drive is a staple of the fictional Supercars championsip - think along the lines of Winton or Wakefield Park in Australia. It drives like a classic old-school circuit, with short sharp bursts of acceleration leading into a mix of sweeping bends and sharp hairpins. What's more, it's a track that the drivers love, as it's the perfect test of racecraft and car control.
The track is also home to the Drivers Club of Estollia, and is often open to fans on weekends when races are not being held, to give them a chance to test their skill around the venue.

THE TRACK
While it may look simple on paper, Burns Drive is a technically challenging circuit, with corners that encourage you to brake late, but provide little run-off space or room for error
Turns 1 and 2, are prime examples - many races have been won and lost by drivers trying to pull moves into these corners, only to run wide on corner exit, kick up a cloud of dust, and hand the position right back again.
Turn 4 stands as the best overtaking opportunity of the track - if you can get a good run through the sweeper of turn 3, then it's a great chance to outbrake your opponent into that hairpin.
Audi Sport Bend is one of the highlights of the lap, with a picturesque run beneath the trees leading into a fast kink, and plenty of run-off space to encourage drivers to attack the corner.
Also unique to the track is the curved front "straight", with two high-speed bends separating the last and first corners of the lap.

This track is still in Beta stage. AI LP's, trackside geometry and objects have all been developed, but there is certainly room for it to be improved. To install, copy the "Burns Drive ESCO 2021" folder into your NR2003 tracks folder
