Anyone want to try 2018 F1 cars in Assetto Corsa? http://f1-mania.ru/acf1-mania-2018 I'm thinking about maybe starting with race one of this years season and go from there, posting two a week until we're done.
So should you do a separate install of Assetto Corsa for the F1 mod? I installed it, started the game, picked a car and ran a track.. But if you click that "ADDON2018.EXE" it opens up a whole new can of worms.. Talking about track grip, F1 damage models and ultra soft tires, ect.. Does that stuff just effect the F1 cars or does it make the tracks and stuff different for all cars/mods?
Yea, Im seeing all kinds of .bat files in the "addon" folder it has, so Im assuming it just alters stuff while your playing that mod, then hopefully returns them to normal when you exit? (I didn't open any of the files to see what they did, but noticed the bats and remembered from computer class that they "do stuff".. lol ) ANyway, a separate shortcut to the ADDON2018.EXE is all that's needed I suppose.. Just run the mod from that. No need for a separate install of AC.. (Least that's my opinion, which really is not much more than an educated guess..) 
When I run the F1 cars I use the add on thing to change it for them, then as soon as I'm done I put it back to "standard" cars.
