Who saw Reddick leaving and announcing already that he his going to 23X1 Racing for the 2024 season.... I Didn't

I like what @Highbank said - If Im RCR I dump Reddick no later than the end of his playoff run this year...

I Would let him go too, unless he has a contract... Its only going to hurt the team for next year and maybe rest of this year. I think it's in poor taste.

Seems like RCR had a lack of communication for Reddick's long-term future possibly and maybe Reddick wanted a more long-term future RCR just wasn't ready to talk about yet. So Reddick went looking/was offered by 23X1 a ride first and he took it since it probably pays more.

I get some are mad about loyalty but this is 2022. Its the wild west out there with careers/job whether that is professional sports or your regular person with a regular job. You don't owe employers anything as they only look out for themselves and if you have the offer or opportunity to jump ship to something better you bet people will take it without question.

I think RCR can learn from this to have better communication on their driver's expectations and contract goals at a minimum, even if they were blind-sighted by this now they know and can adjust for future drivers that have a lot of talent.

Well if that happens, it's also confirm Kurt Busch will retire end of this season so Tyler Reddick can drive. I am still curious how much money Kyle Busch get and what will be his sponsor ?
Still weird decision from Toyota because it will affected their Truck Program.

He's obviously going to be driving the 38 M&Ms next season, the prophecy will finally be fulfilled:

If you want to get weird, this 38 was the RYR 88 team renumbered when it got the M&M's sponsor (now I can't remember if it was the renumbered 88 or 28, but it was one of them), which got its sponsor and number(ish) from the 36 MB2 Motorsports team, which eventually merged with DEI at a time when Jr was still there.

That is a really backwards loosely fitting connection, but it's there lol

So, KB to the 8, but Reddick will still drive for RCR in 2023 as he is still under contract. This may of course change as we are 5 months away from Daytona. But if Reddick does stay with RCR, what number do you think?

MJ splurging to get his driver. It makes sense. Why delay creating the team chemistry etc. The big question now: does 23XI obtain a charter and become a 3 car team? Or is Kurt B calling it?

Where does a third charter even come from? Is it possible that NASCAR can create more charters? Maybe they can share the newly created charter money with the existing teams?

Interesting that it’s happening at Vegas. Kurt’s home track too.
