I only use the cockpit, being half blind (far sighted) I can't read the gauges anyway.
I've always used the in-game HUD for those sorts of things. The only gauge I use on a regular basis is the tach.I guess I mean it would be hard to manage fuel, gear and tape adjustments for open setups especially. Or even make new setups.
Roof cam for me. I do my races like the onboard camera recordings. Then during pace laps/cautions/end of race I do far chase view. In the middle of the race I might switch to cockpit for a few laps like its the broadcast showing a different view but pretty much roof cam these days for me. I don't care about racing hardcore sim, never did and cockpit view doesn't appeal to me. I like to see the paint scheme of the car(s) I've painted personally. I did make a hyper detailed cockpit for my ICR mod but truth be told I only did it so when I temporarily switch cameras to in-cockpit it looks cool lol
gotta agree with this, interior pictures, from what ive had to go through while making my own cars (which was roughly june-august 2021, or even earlier), are really rare to come by, and FCRD did a really good job on his. I really dont understand why some people think that stuff looks lazy as pretty much everything, besides the engine, has been changed. The interior being one of those major changesKnowing the reference photos that are out there, I would say he did pretty darn good job with replicating it. Maybe you should go check out iRacing and you will see the exact same thing with those gauges. You can express your opinion, but saying he lacked effort with it makes you sound stupid. So here's a opinion, don't use it, or wait til the mid season update when they actually start showing more of the cars interior. The other mods you listed they had way more photos back then. This car has been a unknown from the get go.
Ahh, but the immersion of a race car driver IS the fun. I'm surprised people playing NR2003 outside of the cockpit to be honest.I don't play for immersion, I play to have fun. I use cockpit as a novelty every now and then. Otherwise, its roof view 99% of the time.
I agree generally, but when I started playing (back in the N4 days), I felt like I was in a box that I could only see out of a little slit. Instead of having fun it just gave me anxiety. I have since practiced a lot more and gotten much more used to it, but it took a lot longer to get used to than just going to the rooftop view. I always felt like I was cheating that way, but it was a lot more fun for me.Ahh, but the immersion of a race car driver IS the fun. I always use 3rd person view because I just have keyboard and controller. I don't get immersion race car driver with controller in cockpit view. It's also make disadvantage when racing. If I get wheel definitely try use cockpit view. In mobile phone racing game I always use cockpit because they offer tilt control somewhat I feel like holding steering wheel.Ahh, but the immersion of a race car driver IS the fun.
