Welp.. Looks like it'll be a minute (or 2) before I can get back to any kind of simming.. PC doesn't see my new HDD.. Feels like it's on my end, but I can plug the thing into the same cables as the working HDD, (which is SATA 3.0 as well just smaller capacity) but the system doesn't even see the new one. "Hoping" its just DOA.. So I'll have to wait for a replacement and see what happens then.. I'll be lurkin though!
Yea, tried new SATA cable, old cable, all 4 sata slots, 4 different power connectors.. Nadda. And in the process of trying different bios (boot) settings, I screwed up the new install of Windows, so now Im reinstalling that, which takes about 8 solid hours after all the drivers and stuff get updated. Sucks..
Is 165 FPS on the Assetto Corsa "benchmark" good? New (used) 2TB hard drive on it's way back to where it came from.. Never could get the system to see it.. Soooooo, just reinstalled a couple games back to the original HDD.. rFactor 2 and AC is it so far..
Weeeeell.. It begins again!! Got the replacement HDD and turns out the one I had previous was in fact defective.. The system sees the new one and it's formatted and ready for 2 TB worth of games and programs!! Yay!! Only problem is, now I have to start over with the original HDD and reinstall 175 updates of Windows 7 again!! See you guys around Easter!!
