White Backfire

Hey All,

I've been trying to troubleshoot an issue I've been having with car backfires on the whelen mod. I get backfires with every other mod I've tried, but for the Whelen mod I sometimes get white boxes.

What makes this even stranger is that at most tracks they appear fine in one set of corners but are white boxes in the other set of corners.

I've tried replacing the backfire.mip but no success. Anyone have any ideas? I am wondering if some kind of reflective setting is making them white. Do the y correspond to any specular map?

I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I have never experienced that happening myself and I do a ton of racing with the Whelen mod. I have a feeling it has something to do with your video settings and is not track-related, but I wouldn't stake my life on that. LOL

BUT... on another front, I absolutely love your screen shot!

That new Spafco dash looks fantastic and it looks like you've done some editing to update some of the billboards on Stafford. Nice!

This glitch is also in the Smiffsden Pickup mod. It has to do something with the backfires being reflective. Turn off reflections and they should be back to normal.

No editing to the Stafford track actually, maybe I have a different version? And thanks for your kind words on the dashboard. I may release those at some point.

This is unfortunate. Ill poke around a bit more but I feel like I have seen plenty of others who do not have this issue, so I wonder if its in a file I use elsewhere.
