Looking to maybe make the old Steve Grissom 29 car for a new league ride and I run #35. Just looking for some opinions from you guys
How is this looking for the number style? I don't think it was a font so I am just trying to freehand something pretty close. Still have to add some detail to the interior of the red and such. But shape wise does this look about right to you all?

You're missing the texture on the number base. I think just a few hollow and full circles on 50% opacity should work well, but it looks like for that, it uses the color of the outline. The number would really come to life if you did!

Thanks. I did say in the post I still had details to add.
Mostly I'm asking about the shape of the 3 and 5. Do they look about right?

If you look at the 29, there is a drop shadow, but it is not at an angle. You have it at a slightly upward angle, which is good, but it needs to be connected to the bottom bit. There's a few parts of the number where this happens. I think patching that would do a good service.

Can't really say much more, though, until all the detailing is complete. Great work so far!

Gotta take the opacity down a bit on the details on the inside of the numbers and try and figure out the proper shadow color. but shape wise I think this is good.

Closed 4 in my opinion. The angles on the 1, 6, 7, and 9 would fit well with a closed 4.

the obvious...

any plans for a Wacky Racers carset?
No not really. This started because I wanted to do the Flintstones car as a throwback for my online league and I run the #35 so I had to create those numbers. Then, with some encouragement, I decided to make a full number set and I am adding most of the characters from the car to it using the original Pantone colors on the call sheet I found from the original car's merchandise kit.
