If all goes to plan, the facelift of my Karl's Superstore track will be available for download this coming Sunday, coinciding with the FARC Lowe Dollar Series race stream.
This is a street course situated around the flagship Karl's Superstore location in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The map is loosely based on a real life Wal-Mart location in the same city. The track measures at 8/10 of a mile and features a counterclockwise rectangular layout, plus a discount Corkscrew leading to the final corner. The Karl's store model is available for download on this site.
A birds-eye view of cars going around the track. The store's name is helpfully painted on the roof.
FARC points leader Daniel Sharp (#7 Mr. Aid Tonare) and Tex Gwaltney (#2 SSF Lenard) find that the frontstretch pit exit is... not ideal. Neither is the side street that Sharp is bouncing over. Drivers have been complaining about that bump all week, but officials claim that there is no such word as "concussion". Shoutout to the brave redshirt standing on the right.
Laura Cyrus (#3 Mobile Johns Lenard) rounds the final corner, trying her best to ignore the PR disaster (or just free publicity?) for her sponsor... which is also her family's business.
Sean Boyd (#63 Big Boyd Saar) approaches turn 3 in this look up the backstretch, while FARC debutante Bert Hornberger (#69 Bert's Used Lingerie Lenard) holds up traffic.
"MPJ" Michaela Perry-Jones (#86 Q-Trim Tape Inglesby) crosses the start/finish line. What do you mean, "someone might hit those gaps"?
Meghan Gallagher (#22 Royal Treatment Lycoia) has trouble in the makeshift Corkscrew as Rick Forest (#60 Tiger Energy Saar) and Harve Henry (#44 JJC Inglesby) approach.
