Which one do you go to most?
Sadly haven't been to any as of yet. College budget, as well as not having a job this summer screwed over my plans of going to each.
ya been there
The closest track to me is a little hole in the cornfield and trees called Mt. Lawn Speedway here in Greensboro, Indiana. Many national stars including Ryan Newman and Junior Hanley have raced there. It also has to unique distinction of having two guys named Tony Stewart race there, one being former Cup champion Tony Stewart and the other being local drywall guy Tony Stewart. lol
Closest track to me is Watkins Glen International, in Watkins Glen, NY. I live just 4 hours from there.
I envy you...Bucket List item for me to attend a race at the Glen..but no short tracks closer?
Dirt: Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA
Asphalt: Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia
Closest NASCAR Official Track: Evergreen Speedway (about 45 minutes to 1 hour away)
Closest Cup Track: Sonoma Raceway (still around a 18 hour drive nonstop by the fact it took 15 from my place to Sacramento)
Isn't Orange Show the one that had the flip in the K&N Pro Series West?
My closest speedway is also Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. The CTS series used to run there.
The Evergreen Speedway north of Seattle?
I believe so
We'll, let's see, there's Marshalltown Fairgrounds, Iowa Speedway, both less then 20 minutes from me. Then I have Knoxville, Eddyville, Cedar Rapids Downs and about 5 other tracks with in an hour or so drive, if only the old lady looked racing as much as I did. One did close last year tho
We have a track here that is both, a 3/8 mile modified "D" asphalt oval and a drag strip which they just
re-did with a full quarter mile concrete strip. There's only about three in the country like it.
It's Kil-Kare Speedway.
