Comparing the drivers side, i think either they need a slight rotation or to be shrunk slightly. I'm looking at the top of the back most socket and how far it's sticking above the logo. Granted most people will never notice that.
One other thing I see. And honestly it doesn't matter if it doesn't change but l think your stripes run too far forward over the fender. But that could be a result of the model being slightly different than the real car??

Yeah, I'm still tinkering with placement. Some of the discrepancy has to do with how the in car model differs from the actual car. Can't make things sit exactly the way do because the curves are slightly different.

Same thing with those front stripes. The wheel wells on the real car are suuuuper elongated upwards and the portion of the body between the a pillar and wheel is shorter. So I just kinda have to split the difference between that and the in game model.

I noticed this problem with some of the Winston West cars in the '97 suzuka set. The space behind the side number (but ahead of the rear wheel well) is really compact - like half the size of the in game model.

I've been taking a little break to focus on some non-Sim hobbies this past month - I have a group of plastic models started and building my first new desktop computer in 15 years (LULZ). But I felt the urge to stop in and drop an update on the '96 Suzuka set. This is the current state of the field (warning - it's a scroller!). Some are more complete than others but all are under-way!

Thanks for looking!

Back then teams used to do all sorts of weird things with the nose. My favorite is Ernie Irvan and the Morgan McClure team used to use lower noses from RCR at superspeedways. It started as Ernie had damaged the car and got a replacement nose from RCR for the race, but then you kept seeing that black nose at Daytona and Talladega for a couple years after that.

The lumina's they figured out the aero worked better if they filled in the lower air dam. The insets that they used to have down there created some downforce but also caused some issues with resistance and the flow around the side of the car. When they flattened it out more like the fords they got better aero numbers. Its also what led to the changes in the Pontiac nose in 1993.
