rFactor 2 Hot Lapping: Camaro GT3 2012 @ Watkins Glen (Long no chicane)

So we kick in another door and add rFactor 2 to our menu for HLCs!
(Using the Steam Workshop)

MOD: Camaro GT3 (ISI/Studio 397)

TRACK: Watkins Glen Long (no chicane)

It's rF2, so for this first one just make it it as easy as you need it to get around the place...

In mod car, default set, Stability control, ABS and Traction control on low, because I couldn't drive without them!

They use traction control on these cars...yep so no worries there

Only Tigg had the guts for this one? I thought 4/5 people were barkin about it.. My graphics suck in rf2.. But with a little more time I'd of getten into the 49's with the AI.. Exiting the boot is where I lose all my time, same as in other mods.. Still fun, with a bigger learning curve than most.. But, easy compared to driving that dirt car in rFactor 1

I have not had motivation yet, also last time I tired RF2, it would not detect my wheel and pedals , so I could not go anywhere!

Then, silence.. Not -even- a bark..

also last time I tired RF2, it would not detect my wheel and pedals , so I could not go anywhere!

It detected mine, kinda.. I could barely drive the car as it floated all over the track. Felt like a huge deadspot in the center, when I was on the straights.. I fooled with the adjustments and couldn't figure it out.. So I tried "loading" a profile for a different wheel.. That pretty much fixed it.. I just had to remap buttons..

It calibrated my Momo right away. We're talking wheel tech that's 15 or more years old.

You guys give up too easy.. It' not any harder than running this Porsche 935 in GTL we ran a while back. Just gotta get your wheel/pedal setup to your liking and not treat the gas pedal like an on/off button.. Oh and practice.. Can't get around turning laps..

Hey I had a solid gt and v8supercar background along with my nascar spanks ya much. Its the fact I'm used to barely moving my wheel to turn (rf1)where as this ya put same amount of wheel and she barely moves. Ive gotten a 50.7 around here (ommiting the 1 because anyone who runs under a min is a low down dirty dog cheater) but it feels like it could have more if I figure out how to adapt my style

You mean 1:50.7 right? There's no way on gods green earth you can run the long version that fast without cutting the boot off.

You should try loading a different wheels profile and see if that helps.. (Just pick any one, doesn't have to be the same make as your wheel) Once dialed in, my wheel feels basically the same as any other sim.. As for the 50.7... What ya waitin for? Post up a screenie!! 1:50.7 around here in the GT3 Camaro is just shy of a full can of "get gone" as DW would say..
