Restrictor Plates at Ovals

Hey all,
With the recent news that restrictor plates will be run during the All-Star race this year, it got me wondering: would restrictor plates at 1.5 mile ovals work in NR2003?
I did a search of the forum and aside from a thread about drafting settings at the likes of Talladega and Daytona I couldn't seem to find any information on this. Would changing the track type to '1' be enough, or will the game not allow this to work? Is there a setting that allows the car's top speeds at any given track to be lowered?

I'm not sure you can control how much the cars slows, but I believe you can change the chassis_type to 1 to get the Superspeedway chassis. This will give you the same car you use at Daytona so I would guess they might be a little too slow for a 1.5 mile. Give it a try and let us know how it works.
