Player Info crashes game.

When I try to go to player info on the main menu it crashes the game.
It was working fine until I renamed the car file that was attached to me as a player.
The game now shows me using the #1 car in both on and offline and I can't get to player info to switch to the car of my choice.
Will I have to uninstall and reinstall to correct it?
I cannot remember what the car file was named before I switched it.

Did you use any special characters, put any spaces, dashes, or extra periods? Did you give it a long name? Does the filename have the format carname.cup.car? These are just a couple of things that will cause the game to crash. I don't think that renaming the player car will cause this by itself, I would think at worst the selected car will default to the first car on the list (which you said happened), but it shouldn't crash the game....I don't think.

Usually have to create a new player folder. I always backup my entire NR2003 directory so if the player folder gets corrupted (which I've had it happen every once in awhile) I can just copy/paste the restored version back.

I backed up my files. Uninstalled the game and tried reinstalling it only to get a CATASTROPHIC failure notification. In my program files NR2003 is still listed and I have tried to uninstall from there, but it will not allow me to uninstall. When I try to reload the disc, it shows the play/ uninstall/ quit window. When I tab uninstall, it shows a failure. When I hit play, it shows several windows each with a missing file listed. I am at a loss.

Just make sure there are no spaces in between cup. car It should be cup.car no spaces

When you download cars sometimes there are spaces

I can't even get past the startup page now. I even did a system restore out of desperation.

go to the player .ini u believe ill check for sure tomorrow but it should show all mods with the car files selected just retype the car file name you want thats what i think off hand but ill double check tomorrow ok
