NR2003 Hot Lapping: AD67 @ Brands Hatch

We don't have a vintage F1 mod for NR2003, which is is extremely odd since GPL is a Papy title...you'd think a conversion would be doable...oh well

We continue our Brands Hatch track clinic with a visit to NR2003's version...which is no doubt the GPL track as well...

There are two reasons why we don't have vintage F1 cars in NR2003.

Way back in '04/'05 there was a team of guys who tried to direct convert GPL into NR2003, but have you ever used Winmip to open a GPL car file? There are actually quite a few files that make up one car, not like NR2003 where one "flat" is a car, it's more like rFactor and almost every other sim out there for open wheel cars. Don't quot me on this, but I think the guys who made the F1 Legends mod are the guys who tried to do the NR2003 conversion, that's why they use fictitious names in their mod, they were around when Iracing was doing all that legal action and didn't want to be caught up in all that. I'm going by 15 year old memories on this so I might not be getting the whole story correct.

The physics, the pta physics aren't even close to what they should be, that's why Tim was doing his "altered" package, for those of us who have that still, you can "feel" the difference.
