After a lot of thought and conversations within the community, we’re happy to announce that Stunod Racing will not be shutting down. The incredible support we’ve seen from all of you has played a huge role in this decision, and we’re truly grateful to everyone who values and contributes to what makes this community so special.
We’ve been exploring ways to manage the costs of keeping Stunod Racing up and running, as the current expenses felt unsustainable. We considered moving conversations to Discord or creating a standalone site for file hosting, but those options didn’t really fit what most of the community wants or the experience we aim to provide.
Here’s the plan moving forward: Stunod Racing will remain open, but we’ll be making some changes to how files are hosted. There will be a few upfront costs during this transition, but these updates will help reduce our expenses over time and make things more manageable in the long run. We’ve been working with a few members and programmers to figure out the best solutions, and while there are still some details to iron out, we’re confident we’re heading in the right direction.
Thank you for sticking with us and being patient as we work through these changes. With your support, we’ll ensure Stunod Racing continues to be a place for creativity, collaboration, and connection in the racing community.
Stay tuned—we’ll share more updates soon!
There was only one Edsel that ran in NASCAR's top division-called Grand National. In the 1959 Daytona 500 Paul Bass ran a 1958 Edsel convertible in the race, DNF with engine issues . He did manage to finish ahead of Richard Petty. Only one blurry image of this car seems to exist.

To me the biggest flaw in the Edsel design is that the horizontal headlights contrast the vertical grill. I think if the headlights were vertical, the grill wouldn't have looked so out of place. Because as seen on cars such as old Alfa's of the era, vertical grills can work, and vertical headlights along with the Edsel's infamous grill could make a cool "3 pronged pontoon" style that I think would work well.A lot of people claim the Edsel is ugly but I think it's a fine looking automobile.
I've had the cockamamie idea to make "hand drawn NR2003 textures." Basically the idea is to take mips from the game, export them, print them, redraw them via pen and paper, scan them, then re-import them as mip files.
It is daft? Yes it is. But I think it would be something uniquely me, and I'm curious on how it would look.
There were actually a handful of these that were just used as extras in scenes that weren't filmed during the actual races. I'm pretty sure there are a couple others but I don't remember them. When I first got into this back in the N4 days the first group I joined was the Days of Thunder Project and they had all this stuff figured out and were working on these cars for N4, but that group died a long time ago.A person on Discord informed me of a unknown fictional car from Days of Thunder.

This car appeared in the "Give Me Some Lovin" scene, and I've never seen anybody paint this, or hell, didn't even know it even existed until today.
WOW... I was part of that group also. I worked on the #28. That's where my username comes from, one of the first things I signed up for and I've used it on forums ever since. When I first got into this back in the N4 days the first group I joined was the Days of Thunder Project and they had all this stuff figured out and were working on these cars for N4, but that group died a long time ago.
It would be cool to have them all represented in NR2003. I would take a stab but my knowledge of what cars actually raced in the period is pretty spotty. There were actually a handful of these that were just used as extras in scenes that weren't filmed during the actual races.
