No.
We didn't shut down our schools. We didn't shut down our cities.

Psst - that did happen in the 1918-19 Pandemic:

"School closure and public gathering bans activated concurrently represented the most common combination implemented in 34 cities (79%); this combination had a median duration of 4 weeks (range, 1-10 weeks) and was significantly associated with reductions in weekly EDR (Excess Death Rate)"

I thought about that too, but he wouldn't have been born yet when that happened.

Torque is the product of a length and a force.
That means of course, a plank and a horse.
Provided the horse, is on a circular course.
Which forces the horse, to turn the force.

At least that one is still attached, most of the ones I saw were disconnected dragging the floor.

So, I was able to look at the numbers of all of the fantasy drivers in F1 2019 that appear when you do the weekly challenges in the multiplayer car or run the classic cars. Two of those drivers use numbers conflict with real life drivers (63 and 99), two of them use numbers that conflict with the two career mode fantasy drivers (70 and 71... not really a surprise), and two of them use the same number -- 65.

Just got my wisdom teeth pulled :/

Will be on meds and applesauce for abfew days.
Dang all of them? I was just going to comment that I was pretty much good the next day after getting one pulled (with dry socket precautions of course), but if you had multiple out...ouch

Edit: the sound of them twisting out of my jaw reminds me of chewing on laffy taffy for some reason.

But I can't stand all of the lawyer Commercials when I'm trying to watch my local news - I mean it's like one right after the other... I'm tired of watching them...

Can someone explain to me what's actually wrong with "Washington Football Team"?

I have followed "Liverpool Football Club" since I was 6 years old. Thousands of sporting clubs are called "City/Organisation Sports Team/Club".

- Liverpool Football Club
- Sydney FC
- New South Wales Rugby League
- Penske Racing Team
- Scuderia Ferrari
- Holden Dealer Team

Seriously people, what's up?
What's the implicit need to call you thing the City Somethings. What am I failing to understand here?

What is this, I don't even.

Rollo75: Historically, here in the States, pro sports teams have always had some sort of "team name" associated with them. That way, if someone is talking about the Celtics, most sports fans know that it's the NBA team in Boston. Admittedly, the "Washington Football Team" is a bit bland, but apparently it is only a temporary thing until some other permanent name is chosen. Must be an American thing...

If someone is talking about the Raiders, most sports fans know that it's the NFL team in Los Angeles... er Oakland... er Las Vegas?
There are 742 Lions teams in America.

Since this is relevant to the discussion: a 2018 study by Grand Canyon University found the following interesting tidbits about mascots in NCAA Division I universities in the USA.

+ The most winningest mascot of all time (most national titles won across all D-I NCAA sports as of 2018) is tied between the Cardinal and the Bruin
+ Tigers make up for 116 football conference titles as of 2018
+ The bulldog is the most common mascot in all D-I athletic schools with 14 schools. Tigers make up a close second with 13.
+ 121 D-I colleges have animal mascots
