Hello everyone i've been having trouble with the ncs22 it keeps crashing and running at a low frame-rate i was wondering if anyone else has this problem or if it's something on my end
It's basically is crashing when there is an accident while watching the ai racing, or just browsing through the opponent manager

Hi, Did you check your roster file for all being correct, no spaces like cup.car not like cup .car or it could be the roster file itself being bad, I had that happen to me before, I had to delete the bad roster and make a new one.

Are you running reshade ? I read somewhere that could be the problem but not sure because mine is working fine.

@bamaracing i found this i'll have to see if this works [Open the in-game UI (Shift + F2), go to the settings and set the "Effects Toggle Key" there.]

Given that this is the initial release of their 1st mod, I'm glad to see they approached this in stride. MENCS17 had similar issues, 18 improved on it, and 19 made it seamless. I think FCRD, when they roll out an update, it'll likely be the same; less crashes, certainly better FPS.

And for the record, I, as well as many others, get fair to significantly better FPS and stability with the d3d8/d3d9 reshade files (I just don't use any presets or shaders loaded). Combine that with the 4GB patch, and the game just runs better.

I just don't think (and I'm saying this because of what I've seen thus far and experienced now on 3 different PC builds) it's realistic anymore to run these newer mods, with all the eyecandy on, at BBMC or super-detailed tracks. We've hit the EXE limitations (for now...?) on what the game can handle, so in that case, some sacrifices are likely going to have to be made if you want to... Until someone figures out a CPU/GPU patch akin to the 4GB patch that makes the game handle graphics and textures more efficiently.

I can't even get NR2003 to install on my Windows 11 it says I am missing files. So maybe by the time I get that figured out they will have this stuff fixed.

and @SteveMack yes i made sure everything was correct because otherwise cars would not run LOL
I can tell you this, I had the same problem you are having, the roster looked correct but was bad. I added checking for the spaces as a first option. If you only have the one roster that came with the mod that could be bad somehow when extracting it or for some other reason. This didn't happen with this new mod but it is the same problem. You could also try and delete the mod folder and do a new download and extraction and see if that works. If you have the same problem after that then I go after another problem. Did you just extract the one folder into the series folder?

I was having issues last night running a few laps. So then today I checked the size of the cars and they are too big for my computer. So I went in and reduced them to 1024x1024 in Photoshop and reimported them. A pain but I wanted to see if that was the issue and it was. For my computer, and it's new, that's what I have to do is use 1024x1024 max sized cars. I think you have to learn the nuisances of what your computer will take as everyone has different specs. I love it so far.
