I started having this issue early this year and can't figure out what's causing it or how to fix it.

Basically anytime I hit any of the keys associated with sending or typing a message in multiplayer, it causes me to warp slightly. Sometimes it's worse than other times. I lose anywhere from a bumper length to two car lengths each time. It causes my frames to go from 140 to between 70 - 90 for just a brief moment, like a blink of an eye and then everything is fine again. I'm a league admin and have to clear black flags and add laps back to other racers and it's a challenge trying to stay in contention since I lag and lose ground, and to also stay out of the way of everyone to not cause a wreck by the warp. I'm not really sure how else to explain it, but I can attach a video clip if need be.

This started happening suddenly and I've been trying everything I can think of to resolve the issue but I've had no luck. I thought perhaps it was maybe from starting to use a bluetooth keyboard since it started happening right around the time frame when I started using a bluetooth keybaord again (had used one since I got the computer in December 2017 until December 2020 with no issues). I recently replaced the bluetooth keyboard with a normal USB keyboard and turned off bluetooth completely but that didn't solve anything. I uninstalled the game entirely and did a fresh install and still have the same problem. I transferred my entire NR2003 folder to my laptop and it runs perfectly fine and does not have this issue. I think it's gotta be something related to the computer rather than the game, but I don't know what.

I found what was causing the problem. After shutting off Windows updates for almost a year because of the consistent nagging and havoc they wreaked on my computer when they were installed, I decided to use the Windows 10 Update Assistant program to download and install the updates. That corrected the issue and it has been working great since.
