The Readme for MX
MX Model X - For Papy N2K3 3do objects

Version 0.2 Beta

MX is a tool for creating 3do objects for Papyrus Nascar 2003. MX is actually helps build the wrapper states around the actual mesh objects. For creating the mesh objects either use Milkshape or Zmod. Then use the plugins we have developed for each to export a shape object. This shape object is the actual mesh and texture files. Then using MX, you build the 3do object you want. Then when you've got it the way you want, you simpily compile to create the 3do object.

StateSwitch, LODSwitch, Group, Shape, Empty Descriptors are currently supported.

The best way to see how to build one is to look at some examples for which we have thrown in. Should be able to open under the directory you installed MX on.

Requirements
----------------------------------------------
You must have installed .net framework runtimes
You must have DirectX 9.0
XP (certainly not 98 or 95! C'mon time for an upgrade!!!) Well, we heard reports of 98 working okay.

Other Notes:

Currently MX - Will read the textures from either mips or bmp files now. So if you have a texture named texture1.mip, or if you have texture1.bmp in the directory specified under Tools Options it will load the texture. It looks for mips first then bitmaps.

Known issues:

Sometimes gives a pink hue, it could be the lighting - solved
Doesn't do alpha transparency - so a lot pink will be on the objects - solved
Sometimes the graphics are flipped backwards - might be a flag to tell it to flip that we don't know about yet. - solved
Doesn't read mips yet - solved
