I don’t even play the cup series anymore because of all these. They look amazing! The 45 looks so good!!
45 was a toughie. Pistana is really pushing my limits this season.

Hey y'all. Sorry I haven't released Atlanta yet. Been overloaded. Hope to get time after I get off work this afternoon. Working on COTA (I think we may not have the 23, Lefty did such a complicated job, I think it's above my abilities to recreate it)

Ok, a bit of a rant here (insert Old Man Simpson shaking fist at the clouds)
It's great we have some up and coming talent in the pipeline. I like em all, and they are pretty good.
But they aren't great, yet.
What they need to push them to the next level is attention to detail. Not talking about their lines on the bases or primary sponsor logos. I mean the little things, like b and c pillars, contigs, namerails, and those little nagging memorial decals. It kinda drives me nuts to see a great car, but it's missing those details. I know some guys want to rush and get things out first, but what good is it if it's not right? That's how you earn a rep. Those young painters are going to be the great ones someday (and replace guys like me), but they need attention to detail.
I'm going to let you in on a trade secret: here's what my week looks like. If I'm lucky a team will release a preliminary image of the car weeks before or mid week of the race. That gives me a chance to start on the base, gather the logos and place them, do the numbers and so forth. Then when they unload the day before the race most teams will use Twitter to show some images. This gives me a chance to refine bases/logos/numbers and such. Then i keep watching their Twitter the day of the race to see any fine tuning I need to do. Lastly in the days after the race I use Motorsports.com, Getty Images, and Jayski to finish my detail work.
Again, it's not about being first, it's about getting it right.

i agree with this fully, i do my best to get my recs as perfect as possible, hate having to leave out a post logo when i cant find it, especially after ive looked for like 30 minutes lol

TBH, I really questioned if I could do it. I spend 6 hours ust researching and planning. It's not 100%, but pretty fair.
Would love your skins expanded into the assetto corsa world, one day John. Classy work.
We can do that, we have been converting a lot of nr2003 mods from Denis Rioux, over to AC. And keeping templates the same, so nr2003 paints still work too.
