A rather unorthodox Cup race results in some happy Pick'em players and some pretty high Bristol scores. The field of 22 averaged 164.59 points with scores ranging from 105 up to the winning score of 217 points for one very happy player. The owner of that score was excited about the possibilities and rightfully so. It's 2488fan4life bringing home the Bristol win by 14 points over runner up TruexJrFan19. After that the rest of the top 5 was rather congested. Mariner came home in 3rd just 1 point in front of a tie for 4th between db512 and HakaBaka. That's db512's 4th top 5 in the first 5 races in 2024.

With those 4 top 5's and more bonus points than anyone else by far, perennial championship contender db512 has settled into the points lead yet again. The lead currently is 37 points over Connor24fan who now is 5 for 5 in top 10 finishes this year. 2023 rookie contenders Ackbarfan and Mariner currently run 3rd and 4th. 2024 rookie contender Kevmire rounds out the top 5 just 81 points back of the lead. The whole top 9 is still within 100 points of the lead.


On the rookie front, Kevmire leads the way by 44 points over Stueylouie and 85 over QBoi. BriscoeFan14 did not enter but in 13 races that difference will be made up if BriscoeFan14 enters each week going forward. ClarkG27 made start #2 of 2024 and scored top 10 #1 with a 7th place finish.
