They did. They ran w/ plates to keep speeds below 200. And thats why they were able to pack race too.Kind of hard to do that when they don't have plates to begin with.
NASCAR stopped using restrictor plates a couple years ago. The aero and engine rules restrict the car now rather than the old plates. These rules were used for Atlanta in addition to Daytona and Talladega.They did. They ran w/ plates to keep speeds below 200. And thats why they were able to pack race too.
Update I tried it yesterday and especially the FOH version produces great racing without the race becoming a wreckfestI will be releasing my own version of this track based on the actual current version.

Yeah that makes senseI doubt if that track will ever be made. It was a one off race at a temp facility and along with the size of the track and he modeling involved in making it, waiting to see if one is released is pointless.
