Well it's just for realism and to be faster because the objects appear the same size they would in real life. There are lots of sim racing fov videos.

@Highbank got your thread on it not looking right. This is the way Laguna Seca is. Unless you guys were running the pre 95 track. that has no infield corners and have been looking for that one forever for Can Am races.
