I'd really like to see a Champcar mod as well as 90's ATCC Mod and a 1998 - 2003 V8 Supercar mod.

I've been wanting this since finding the game, a 1995 mod with the T-Birds, Monte Carlos, odd looking Grand Prix, and a fourth model for a Lumina, as lower teams used them.

Well I had the Idea of my mid 90's mod having Lumina/Old Grand Prix templates on the thunderbird chassis, sorta like they did with the aero 88 90's carsets and the Pontiac chassis.

Sorry to bump this thread, but is a 1977-1980 mod likely? I know there is that Hobby Stock mod that sort of replicates some of the late 70s models, but that late 70s Oldsmobile is so unique, especially that slopping rear quarter window. It'd be a shame if it never made it into the game.

There's a 1972 mod for Heat, and a 1978 mod too. Maybe a conversion?

I didn't know about this. I saw some screenshots on the Mod Squad site. Are there more out there? I'd like to see how these cars translate into a game, especially the Oldsmobile.

In the end every year would probably need their own mod given how many cars ran in that time period; Monte Carlos, Lagunas, Thunderbirds, 442s, Mercurys, Caprices, Buicks, Magnums, Chargers, etc.

Fair point. That's the great thing about this time period as a fan, but what must make it really complicated in terms of modding. I wonder if it could be determined which four cars ran most frequently, and have those four models be in the mod?

Scott Hawbaker has covered the '70s start to finish for HEAT

Yep, Scott's been modding Heat now for over 10 years, and has done just about any type of mod from the 70's and 80's with the focus on short track racing... We now got him working on a 90's RC mod. Spoke to him yesterday on what he's been doing on the mod. He's making good progress on it..

I wonder if he wasn't speculating if it could be converted from Heat to NR2003.

He might of been thinking if it could be. But, in the readme, it says, not to be converted to another platform, and the mod has I think 8 or 13 car models. So it would be rather hard for it to be properly converted over to NR2003, since you can only do 4 models.. Why not enjoy the mod in Heat. It even comes packed up with setups, it's own Crew Chief audio sounds when racing, plus tracks that were updated for that era.. Plus championship mode, for offline championship.. Your missing the immersion of what Paul created. He actually created a very cool piece of art work with all the little details he put into the original. :)
