Here are some 1998 Japan pics for future reference.
The 1998 race might get a little ridiculous to figure out based solely on the fact that it was an actual points race for the Winston West guys therefore they made up the majority of the field. And there seemed to be a A LOT of the West guys that came with T-Birds and ended up racing with Taurus' or had a number change before the race, or *insert other random condition here*.

I think the '96 race is definitely doable - I've already had that conversation with @Majesticexpress - and a handful of the cars I made for the '97 are literally the same exact car the driver ran the year prior at that race just with some different contigs and what-not. So I snatched the image folder you dropped over there on his thread as well. An HUGE thank you for compiling both of these image dumps!

Exactly, I think a 96 one should be pretty simple to finish up rather quick after I finish up the full 1996 set. Going through all points accruing drivers right now and doing final edits and 95% of the secondary schemes should be pretty straightforward. Once it’s released I’ll tackle a 1996 Suzuka Set w/ @Slipster17 . Only 27 cars, and most cars are already made.

I just looked through the entry list for '96 myself - just based on what I painted for my '97 Suzuka set and the cars I added to your '96 set - we pretty much already have 17 of 27 complete, hah! Just tweaking the road course grills and such. I'm sure you have some other base paints already done like Dallenbach's #15 Hayes, Hillin's #77 Federal Mogul and the #42 Coors (which we'd just need to slap the Tonka/ Winner's Circle logos I made for Irwin's 1997 #27 ride onto). That just leaves us some of the Winston West driver's like Bean, McGriff, Obrist and Gaylord. The only completely 'original' car we'll really have to do is going to be Skinner's #31 Snap-On Tools.

Actually the Motegi race in 1999 was a Winston West points races that race was won by Kevin Richards. and some those pics could have been from 1999 but they get a good idea of what the 1998 cars looked like. The 86 of Rich Woodland is the rarest cause he was a start and park

And frustratingly I can't locate one car that I am CERTAIN I did.... Jeremy Mayfields NHL All Star paint scheme.... I could have sworn I completed and uploaded it but I can't find my original layers or the download on SBR.....
Actually.... now that I think about it.... I know EXACTLY where my problem lays.

I did that car for 2K2 not 2K3. Funny how things slip your mind over time. I kept wondering why I couldn't find like half of the cars I remember doing in the downloads..... whoops! Wrong downloads section!

I was the main one on 2k2 duties at SBR for a few seasons. I'd take a lot of the other members 2k3 layers and converted them to 2k2!
