What about Ricky Rudd's car from ATL2?

** I'm not using the '01 cars, thought this might be one that's missing? IDK

Also, just want to point out, the #22 also ran that decal @ Atlanta2, however they didn't change the color as far as I can tell, and kept it red for the race.

I tried to zoom as much as possible to see what rusty's dale earnhardt logo look like, if i remember correctly, jeff also had this logo on his car aswell.

Quite a few cars had that decal that I've been able to ID. #18, #20, #32, #43, & #44 also had it.

Any ideas what's on the rear of the car? Looks like 2 rows where the top one seems to be Hills... but the bottom row doesn't look like the normal "coffee" with twirly things around it.
I have painted (not yet posted though) his Coke 600 car and that one has "head for the hills" on the rear but this definitely looks like the regular Hills Bros on top.

EDIT: Kinda looks like Hills bros salutes american heroes on the rear too?

The conversation took a turn, I'm not sure if this really got answered or not, but it looks like Hills Bros on the left, in the middle is the Salutes text at an angle with the American flag underneath, and then American heroes on the right.

Yeah, that's what I went with

@rickmastfan67 I'd have to look for pics of the cars using the sheared rectangle with the #3 tribute. Struggling a bit with finding pics from that race, I've watched it (and Dega 2) a fair bit on nascar classics though
The Atlanta 2 #22 is straightforward enough, thanks If several cars ran that text I'm going to guess that that's what on the C-pillar on the #85 too so now the only question for the #85 is the tv panel.

Always could try archive.org and check the teams historical websites in case they had a decent picture of said Dale tribute decal. Remember, that's how we found a decent sized Old Spice decal that was used on the #32 in 2001.

While messing around on archive.org, I was able to pull up Carl's photos from '01. Sadly, no Atlanta2 page, but maybe something here that could help ya out.

Just a random detail but kenseth's car had a american flag on the decklid i think after 9/11. This pic i found was from dega 2 but i have a feeling he ran this for other post 9/11 races too

2002 Cars for the Originial Cup Mod??

Does anyone know where I can find 2002 cars for the original cup mod?? I have the main carset from Thunder98's files and the NR2003 encyclopedia, and I am still missing like way over half of the paint schemes from that season! I've been putting together a full 2001 set and almost every single...

I tried joegibbsracing and pettyracing at internet archive but no luck. Same goes for pics of the cars with the logo on but I guess it could have been for the race only and on one side of the car.

I did get an idea what could possibly be on the rear of the Carl Long car though. On one of the pics on his site there was a shot of the side with him blocking parts of it. I could see DWH painting co(blocked). I found a company called DWH Painting Company in Durham NC which could match what's on the rear of his Atlanta car

Found another slight variation to the 90 car from the Kansas race. Looks like it has the 'Salutes American Heroes' on the back but the rest of the car had it's normal scheme with no 9/11 logos.

Yup, This pic is a lot better than the guess work on the screendump so I'll see if it needs some finetuning.

Seems like he's also running the same 'Rescue 5 Family Fund' decal on the B-Pillar that the #28 used that race too (except it's way larger on the #28). So, maybe other cars @ Talladega2 had this decal too, who knows. All I know is that there's an insanely good shot of said decal on the #28 on Getty.

That should be Darlington as far as I can recall.

Yeah, I think that's the one I found too. Definitely good enough to use after lifitng it and making the background little bit more white.

Just a fews days ago I thought I was pretty much finished with all the 2001 cars (not counting the Dover 2 cars) that were possible to paint. Now I'm thinking I should make a list to keep track of what's left
