The plan is: Riverside, Ca. to Mason City, Iowa, then to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, then to Idaho Falls, Idaho via Fargo, North Dakota, and Yellowstone National Park, then back to Riverside...it's 4,400 miles or thereabout ...CAKE!
The Wisconsin to Yellowstone via Fargo, is because I've never been to North Dakota...that will give me everything but some of the New England states...
