Complete 2024 Stunod Pick'em Series Round 16: Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma

Like Sonoma itself, Pick'em scores went through plenty of twists and turns in Wine Country. In the end one player made that one figuratively perfect lap and cruised to victory by an eye-popping 40 points. That was @Mariner who becomes the 10th different winner of 2024 with win #1 of the year. Just like our winner last week, victory claimed, box checked, playoff ticket (hopefully) punched. Not a guarantee though since there are still 10 races to go before the playoff cutoff and only 16 spots on the playoff grid.
Only two more races to go before our worst scores of the year begin to disappear. db512 remains atop the standings by a comfortable 94 points over 2nd place Mariner. The rookie battle flipped last week due to the points leader taking a race off. This week it flops back with 2nd place QBoi taking Sonoma off. So we're back with Kevmire having a big 170 point lead. That should shrink though once the lowest scores begin to be dropped.
Finally we had a first timer at Sonoma. Welcome @Godly Desgins to the fray. With 20 races still to go, there's still time to rack up 18 races' worth of scores and be a legitimate Rookie of the Year contender. So we hope there'll be one more spice in the broth as we soldier along through the season.
