^ Sorry bud. Once the green flag waves, picks are locked and can't be changed. Don't worry though. Assuming you don't miss another race, once we get to race 19 you'll be back on an even playing field with everybody else.

Dover was promised to be better scoring-wise and Dover did not disappoint. 18 of the 21 who entered Dover scored higher than Blogospheros' race winning score of 167 last weekend at Talladega. The top 10 all broke 190. The top 5 all broke the 200 point mark. That's the third highest amount of 200 point scores in one race all season. The highest was 13 at Martinsville in that scoring bonanza. Many players had better finishes than they're used to as evidenced by how nobody in the top 6 in points finished in the top 7. So who brought home the win who isn't quite used to winning? That would be Logan7 who becomes 2024's 8th different winner with the Dover victory. That means half the playoff field is now made up of race winners with 15 races to go before it's playoffs time. The runner up position was a tie 13 points behind the winner between HakaBaka and NascarRyan24 who no doubt welcome the strong finishes. Highbank alone claimed 4th place with Team48Carvana rounding out the top 5, all above 200 points. The best news of all is we're headed to Kansas this weekend where scoring records are often made.

Congrats to @Logan7 on the win!

With some who are lower in the points having had a good showing at Dover with some higher not so much, as well as Ackbarfan's unfortunate miss (we always say make your picks early for a reason!) , the points standings have gone through quite a shakeup. db512 maintains a 70 point lead on new 2nd place Mariner and 96 over NascarRyan24 who rode that runner up Dover finish clear up to 3rd place in the points. Cola83 continues to cruise along in 4th place now 99 back. Team48Carvana reaches the top 5 in points with the good Dover finish now 141 out of the lead.

On the rookie front, points leader Kevmire was actually the lowest finishing rookie at Dover. That created an opportunity for our other aspiring rookies who definitely stepped up. BriscoeFan14 shaved 51 points off the gap behind the leader, with that gain fully realized once everybody is on an 18 race playing field. Currently Kevmire continues to lead but by only 55 points over 2nd place Stueylouey and 68 over 3rd place QBoi.

That about covers it from the Monster Mile. Let's see how the full results shook out.

This coming weekend we're off to Kansas and its typically high scoring results. Thanks to all who entered Dover. Hope to see you all back again and hopefully more this weekend. Anyone who hasn't played before and wants a nice juicy high score, this weekend is your chance! See you again this time next week!
