A simple conversion of NASCAR Racing 4's spotter with NASCAR Racing 2's radio effects to create a more nostalgic crew chief pack.
So what's the difference in comparison to Nr2003's spotter?
The main difference is that Papyrus used a "Limiter" in Nr2003's voice clips to make the radio chatter louder and more comprehensible amongst all of the loud volumes playing during a race.
While this technically is an improvement to the original unlimited N4/Nr2002 versions, the older version sound much more akin to what you'd be hearing from a real NASCAR radio, where the small details are flushed out in an explosion of roaring engines and burning tires.
It may sound very subtle in the previews, but out on a track it makes a big contrast from the ambience around you.
I also decided to add on to the nostalgia factor and replace the radio effects with the ones from NASCAR Racing 2, which use a completely unique set of blips and glitches. These new sounds mix perfectly with the unlimited sounds and provide a fresh new sound to an already-known set of voice lines.
NOTE:: As mentioned above, these sounds are quiet.
You'll want to set the SPCC to 100% and all of your other in-game sounds to a little below a quarter of what you have now.
Here are my sound options as a reference.
~ Previews ~
Original Nr2003 SPCC
"Classic" Spotter/Crew Chief
Let me know what you guys think!
All original audio belongs to Papyrus. I do not own these sounds, nor are these sounds modified in any way.
