Bobby Myers drove Ansel Rakestraw’s No. 1 1955 Chevrolet at the ½-mile asphalt Palm Beach Speedway and at the Daytona Beach and Road Course in 1956. Bobby's son Danny "Chocolate" Myers served for many years as Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s gasman.
