As I am sure many of you know, one of the best NASCAR games to play right now is nr2003. For me, it is currently the only nascar game I play. Of course I still have fun with the game, but I am wondering what is the best modern option for a NASCAR game?

With the dissapointment of Ignition and the anticipation for the upcoming title, what would be best the best game to get into? As a kid I played Nascar 08 all the way through until Inside Line, I wish I could play these games but I sold my 360 a while back. There are emuluators of course but that kind of effort is something I am not willing to do.

So to rap things up I am reaching out to see what the community thinks the best option is, at the moment I am heavily considering Nascar 15.

NASCAR '15 or NASCAR Heat 4 (since Heat 5 has been tainted by MSG) are your best options for current titles. Just keep in mind that you will need to do some finagling to get NASCAR '15 to work with modern controllers, and avoid using custom cars or the 2016 DLC cars if you're planning on running any online races.

As for stuff that's not-so-current, there are emulators you can use to play some of the older, higher-quality games. And some of these emulators even allow you to swap out the default game textures with custom textures, particularly the Dolphin emulator, which is based off of the Gamecube and Wii (which, downside, only has Dirt to Daytona, Thunder 2003, and Chase for the Cup 2005 as it's main playable titles).

There is nothing like NR2003 other than iRacing. Excluding these two, I suggest Nascar Heat 5. It's a good game, it has the 3 main categories and you can still buy the DLC for the 2022 cars. Hang in there while we wait for Nascar 2025.

Heat 5 is a solid option if you don't want to break the bank with iracing, also has an assortment of mods.
Plus Mods are about to open up more with some recent breakthroughs in modding.
