I've posted before about my many years of track testing / editing. I've done the same for setups.
Typically when I download a new track release, I will run 25 or so test laps with AI and see what I think.
And usually I make edits to suit my desired race experience.
Occasionally, I will come across a track that works as desired right "out of the box" so to speak. This is always a pleasant surprise and of course saves me time spent on testing so I can focus on the actual racing part !

So, tonight I finally got a chance to run a few test laps at the latest tracks from @JNorton (WKC)

First up: Atlanta 2022 WKC:

First impressions are it's fantastic! Looks great and AI are well behaved. I originally tried my own setup but quickly found I was redlining and not able to maximize my car's power band. I then tried the fast setup that comes with the track and had much better results.
With no edits of my own here, I was running in the top 5 lap speeds @ 183+ @ 98% AI. (my cup standard)
The AI likes to run the high line here and I was as well. I did scrape the wall a couple of times which probably accounts for the quick dropoff I experienced.
Although I haven't done any digging into the track.ini file, it appears the restrictor plate is in effect here.
Overall impressions are very positive and I look forward to running in my 2022 season.

Then I moved onto Bristol Dirt 2022 (another WKC track)

I decided to use the fast setup right away, and again, with no edits on my part, I found myself running top 5 lap speeds @ 103+ @ 98%.
Pleased to see AI behaving very well for a short track; as far too many of these short tracks are just a wreckfest caution filled disaster.
My only issue was my own fault, as I was over driving the corners; accelerating too quickly and caused the car to spin out a couple of times.
I think if I work the throttle better coming off, I'll be ok and run competitively. I did notice a couple of the AI cars "hanging it out" in the corners which was kinda fun to see and certainly added a realistic touch to the racing . My own car did the same a couple of times as well, as I lost grip a bit.
So again, I was quite impressed with the track, it will also be added to my season schedule.

While I am aware he has been a part of the NR2003 scene for some time, I don't recall ever using any WKC tracks in the past, but if these 2 are any indication, he certainly knows what he's doing and I highly recommend these latest offerings.

My personal thanks to John for his work and sharing with our community.
