From Chicago XXXII: Stone of Sisyphus. Was originally to have been released in 1993, but was rejected by Warner Bros. Rhino finally released it in 2008. It's really great and would have been well received in 1993 had it been released then.

I absolutely loved reading everyone's recollections!
I had read about Indy 500: The Simulation in Car & Driver back when it came out, but since I didn't have a PC, realistic racing was a pipe dream. I did spend extensive time on Bill Elliott's NASCAR Challenge on the NES and the few times I...
By 1984, MTV was so big that Ronnie Milsap wanted in on the action! This was an MTV exclusive and the single was released to Pop stations only, making Ronnie the first Country act to be played on MTV. It didn't fare well either place.
Featuring a young Mariska Hargitay as the star, with...
A couple of years ago, 2 Smoky Mountain icons teamed up to rerecord a classic, Robbinsville, NC's Ronnie Milsap and Pittman Center, TN's Dolly Parton. Peaked at #27 on the AC chart.

Here's Rosanne Cash, Johnny's equally talented daughter, with a song inspired by a Grammy snub which would, ironically, win here her first Grammy! Featuring a young Vince Gill on background vocals.

Eric Tagg again! This time on his own solo album, with Lee "Captain Fingers" Ritenour's guitar and production, with David Foster on keyboard and co-written of Bill Champlin of the then-rejuvenated Chicago on this smooth tune.

With a hit song that borrow riffs from the Doobie Bros., plus his bearded appearance (a la Michael McDonald), some has called Yacht Rocker Robbie Dupree "Robbie Doobie". IMHO that is an injustice, as I feel Robbie is very talented in his own right.
Mac McAnally narrowly missed the Top 40 in the Spring of 1983, peaking at #41 with a tune I refer to as "pure pop perfection". It would have been Mac's 2nd Top 40 (the only was "It's a Crazy World" in 1977, peaking at #37). Mac would go on to have a Top 15 Country hit and share a #1 with Kenny...
Ronnie Milsap had this hit in early 1983. It was the first #1 for a new songwriter: former NFL linebacker Mike Reid. Reid and Milsap would collaborate for many more #1s in the 80's.
One of my favorite Steve Wariner tracks. Peaked at #24 in 1993. The CD version (this one here) has an extended instrumental featuring a guitar solo by Steve.

North Carolina native Don Cox had a minor hit with this great tune in 1994, peaking at #54. It got a lot of airplay in East Tennessee.
