Hello all,
I came across a strange problem recently. I can race all of the mods I have, cup, cts, mencs17, nxs17, etc. with no problem.
However, when I run ncts09, it stutters a lot due to drastic frame rate drop, which only happens when it is drawing a "high graphic" area like front stretch or pit road. I have a PC that is plenty powerful enough to run nr2003 with all mods and full graphics, but this seems to happen only after running one of the other mods and then switching to ncts09. If I start nr2003 and go straight to ncts09, it runs smooth, but if I use another mod first, and then switch to ncts09, it causes a frame rate drop in these areas.
The frame rate only drops in "high graphic" areas, such as coming out of turn 4 and the grandstands start to appear or coming onto pit road with all pit crews turned on, things like that. If I continue to run for a few minutes it seems to get a lot better but never goes away completely unless I switch to another mod. Kinda weird.
Sorry for the long explanation, but has anyone else experienced this?
Oh, and it does this on all tracks, original Papy and new tracks as well.

Thanks

You might check your car file sizes, if they are all over the place in size, it'll impact how well the game renders each scene. Try to keep all your file sizes under 3mb, and crews should only be 512 X 512, anything higher you'll never see. You'll have to check them with winmip2.

Great advice. I will certainly check that when I get home.
Thank You.
