i was roaming through the main N2003 directory and noticed a font folder with a font.dat inside it, so i unpacked the dat file in winmip2 and noticed a ton of .BFF files; i have no idea how to open and possibly edit them and i looked through forums/google and found nothing on this dat file or the BFF files within it. Anybody have any ideas as to what could open and/or edit these files?Capture.PNG
im going to keep trying some applications to open them in, and i might even try renaming font files. ill update this thread if i find anything else.

found 2 files in the unpacked dat that where different
one was a font.def and one was a font.pck i opened both with the notepad
index.php

this is what the .pck one said, this one says "N4 Packfile" at the top, which leads me to believe that its connected to N4 in some way

also had the number 62 underneath (likely the number of fonts)

the .def one was only different by not having the number 62 or fontdat but instead saying at the top "LIBNAME=font.dat" and at the beginning of every font BFF file down had "RAW=" in front of themdef.PNG

Well the equal sign is an assignment operator so you would be assigning each file to the variable RAW, there are .RAW files, whatever RAW is would be the question, maybe a function to read the font file. Just off the top of my head, I have done some programming but in No Way could I be a teacher. So I most definitely can be totally wrong.
LIBNAME looks like it might stand for Library Name.

So it looks like LIBNAME is the the dat file that you unpacked and the RAWs were in it.

BFF may be Bitmap Font Format or Bitmap Font File.

The pck file is created when you unpack a dat file with WinMip.
