I have Double File Checked, But after Caution the only Double that works are lap down cars, When I Race Online you have double file restarts where the whole field goes double, Is this a online feature only or can this work offline?
Thanks

So let my get this straight I can edit the exe, but not distribute it. Just tell others how?

From the article I link to:

"But the most important thing about iRacing vs. Robinson is that it is not illegal to modify the executable code and distribute it, thanks to the fair-use act, if it is for preservation purposes. Thanks to members of the community, the executable editor was finally released"

I just found a way to have double file restarts
1: Go to a tracks ini
2: select and delete ai_line_modifier
3: boot up nr2003 and make sure double file restarts are not checked
Doing this will make some of the cars behind the leader on restarts make them go to the top or bottom. The start of the race though, will be hectic

That's not double file restarts. That's the AI trying to jump each other when the green flag drops.

Disabling ai_line_modifier removes the AI's grip limits, so they will charging each other harder and try to divebomb each other more often. Usually a car will always attempt to pass on the inside, but disabling ai_line_modifier seems to make them not care whether they're on the inside or outside when making a pass. That's why you're seeing what you're seeing.

OP is asking how to have "shootout style" restarts, which as previously stated, is not a part of NR's code.
