-----Cloning cars in 3ds max-----
step 1. Have everything you want to clone visible in your view
If there is more than 1 object (more than 1 car) make sure you select them all
and group them together.
step2. Click on select and move button on the top toolbar, now Hold down the left shift key
hold left click on the model/group and drag it to where you want it. Now in the pop up window, select copy.
step3. open the material editor, left click on the paint material and drag to another slot and copy. Now rename the material eg. paint chev 2. It must be named different to use different paint schemes. To use the second paint, drag it onto the car. NOTE some materials like DMR that have a multi material..open the material and change the paint to #2 .Drag the complete multi material onto the car so glass etc. still work.
Step 3 has to be repeated for each car model.
