I'm trying to figure out what the logo in front of Hotjobs could be. So far my best guess is some variation of the Degree (deodorant) logo from the Chicago car but I'm far from sure.
Any chance someone recognizes it?

Thanks :)

(the Jasper #77 is for some reason very uninspiring to paint, takes forever lol)

Highly doubt it's Degree based on historical Jayski.

  • Degree to be an Assoc again on the #77: For the second time this season Degree Deodorant will be an associate sponsor of the #77 Jasper Engines & Transmissions Ford Taurus. Their decal will be on the lower section of the hood as it was at Chicagoland(8-10-2001)

  • #77 Assoc? hearing the Jasper Motorsports #77 Ford Taurus will have associate sponsorship from Degree Deodorant for the Tropicana 400 this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway(7-12-2001)

Thanks, if Chicagoland was the first time it can't have been on the Daytona 500 car.

Back to having no idea then :p It looks like it could be either a circle with a dot in the center os maybe an S.

Man it really looks like the Superflo S but it would be upside down if it was, and none of the other stuff fits with how Superflo did their logos back then.

Yeah, that definitely looks a lot like it but, like you said, upside down. If it is that one with some changes maybe the thing in the middle is the exxon logo?

Any guesses what's on top of the trunk on his Chicagoland car?
To me it looks like 2 rows of text and then a phone number below that but I have absolutely no idea what it could say.

Edit: Watched the race at nascar classics and it's definitely text, just no clue what it says

Top line: "Empire Today..."
Second line: "Carpet Tomorrow"
Third line: "800-588-2300"
I was looking through that same NASCAR Classics video you used for the second picture. If you stop that video at just the right time, you can see the three dots after the "Today" text. Also, from the first picture, you can tell that there are four total words and the first letter of each is E,T,C, and T. Here's a screenshot of an old commercial from Empire where they used this exact phrasing. I figure this has to be it.

These photos don't really answer your questions, but if you're looking to do a bunch of the 2001 77 car, I figured you might like these photos, at least.

Thanks, once you mention it I can definitely see it :D

@Dr. Noise Thanks, the Subway I already have (sadly no idea who painted it, it's either from nnr or it was in a set a friend sent me), 2nd one should be the chicagoland car, as far as I know that was the only race he ran Degree deodorant logo in front of the rear tire. The veterans day car I'd already painted before my friend sent me his collection and it turned out SBR had already done it :p (wonder what Abuchl is doing these days, is he still around? Always admired the cars from SBR)

That commercial brings back memories!
"At eight-hundred five eight eight, two three-hundred, empiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrreeeeeee."

I used to chat with Abuchl when his site was hopping, but he didn't talk as much in the end. I be @Slipster17 was the last person on here to interact with him.

Wow - that's a name from the past. I have him as a friend on FB but I doubt he ever uses it. I've tried reaching out to Andrew a few times over the years to catch up on things but there has never been any response.

SBR was a super fun team of talented guys and I'm glad I was a part of it for a bit.
