Hello all, I'm trying to make a mod for NR2003 and I need help making it. What modeling program should I use for an Indycar Mod?
do you know the other software?I think you need 3ds max version 8, as well as other software.
do you know the other software?
Does it have to be 3ds Max 8?
I have downloaded 3ds Max 2017, is that good?max 8 works with NR2003, newer versions are not as far as I can remember.
Yes, because the .pas exporter plugin only works with 3ds Max 8. I can't remember if it works with Max 5. But if you download the editing tools from the pits, it will tell you all about that.
Before trying to Mod any platform, get use to using a 3d modeling software first. Your just setting yourself up for failure if you try to mod first, without knowing anything about modeling.. It's a long haul, so patience is key..
I have the modeling part down, but thank you ( http://stunodracing.net/index.php?threads/not-exactly-cars.376/ )
I just have 3ds Max Design 2014 and 3ds Max 2017 that is why I asked. I just need to know where I can get 3ds Max 8 since it is no longer downloadable from the Autodesk Website.
It's okay! Honest mistake. Thank you for the tips and information as I one day want to do my own mod as well, and you guys here are really helpful and appreciated!Sorry, I thought you were Hassinator13, when I replied back.. Nice building modeling.. My apologies for not seeing that the first time.
I also do scratch built modeling. Mostly of car models for mods.. I enjoy creating 3do's (nr2003 language) for tracks when I have some free time. But it always seems I'm building mod after mod.. lol For 3dsMax8, you could try maybe asking some folks privately around the community. That's about as far as I can go with that.
