Today's roster of cars focuses on teams primarily from the back end of the grid.
2006 Dave Blaney Caterpillar - Bill Davis Racing Dodge Charger
Dave Blaney would move from the Childress camp to return to Bill Davis Racing, in which the team had fallen by the wayside since the Buckeye Bullet last drove for the organization. Despite this, he would actually preform pretty admirably, doing what he couldn't in RCR equipment and scoring a top 5. Qualifying wise Blaney fell from a 23.4 to a 28.3, but finishing wise he only ended up with a .3 average finish difference between the year prior.
2006 Micheal Waltrip NAPA Auto Parts - Waltrip-Jasper Racing Dodge Charger
The first year of full time owner driving for Micheal Waltrip was a travesty to say the least. 4 DNQ's, no top 10's, and only 4 top 20 finishes at all. This would be the beginning of the end for the younger Waltrip's full time career.
49 Brent Sherman Serta Mattresses - BAM Racing Dodge Charger
One of your ROTY Contenders, Brent Sherman brought funding to BAM Racing, but ultimately would end up ruining them. The team went from 2 straight years of being in the top 35 with the veteran Ken Schrader to DNQing races in the matter of the first 6 races, and Sherman would get the boot after Talladega. The team never truly recovered from falling out of the top 35, and by 2008 would fade into obscurity, only attempting a handful of Daytona 500's after that.
After dropping Chad Bount post Daytona DNQ(Despite having supposedly signed a full season deal) the Gunslinger was called in to run the #37 car, to little success. Skinner would post 3 straight DNQ's early in the season at Vegas, Atlanta, and Bristol, would return for Indianapolis with a top 20 starting spot, and then DNQ the second Bristol race.
